We Write For You

virtual children's book author and illustrator event

Since 2019, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Phi Alpha Omega Chapter; the Tea Rose Foundation of Northwest Arkansas; the Rogers Public Library; and the Rogers Public Library Foundation has hosted We Write For You, a Black children's book author panel and book reading for children ages 0 through 18.

This year's virtual event featured: Ashley Franklin, author of Not Quite Snow White and Better Together Cinderella; Ayana Gray, New York Times Bestselling Author of Beasts of Prey; and Jacqueline Woodson, Coretta Scott King, Newbery, National Book, and NAACP Image Award winning author of Brown Girl Dreaming and The Day You Begin.

We believe that representation matters, and we are always delighted to bring these diverse authors to our community.
